Description

The wide everted rim decorated with 13 bundles of various flowers and foliage. In the center four lotus flowers scroll and densely and rich cobalt pigment painted border with okra flowers and foliations in between.  The pattern and motif painted on the rim and the border are quite popular on the blue and white porcelain plates from Kangxi period. Similar plates (with different flowers in the center) can be seen at: Rob Michiels Auction 03. Dec. 2021, Lot 905. This motif has been used on the arm porcelain (family Potken from Netherland) as well: Rob Michiels Auction 24. Jun. 2017, Lot 204; Rob Michiels Auction 21. Sept. 2019, Lot 400.

On the reverse of the plates there is a lozenge mark in a double circle and two flower sprays on the rim.

Condition:

In very good condition except some typical moth bites around the rim from Kangxi period and some small rim chips.  No hairline. No crack. No restoration.
